Way of Flowers

***WORK IN PROGRESS***

Way of Flowers is an emotionally intense band inspired by Mazzy Star and Portishead.

Their guitarist asked me to meet with key members since he liked working wth me on a past project.

They are a special group.

I needed to find a way to help tell their story, so I’ve been creating a “Library of Mysteries” to contain images and videos of band members, their instruments, their sacred objects, performances and other imagery that feels like the music.

The lead singer is an accomplished visual artist, so I proposed that I would create building blocks for her to assemble as she likes for their specific needs. And more importantly, for her to embellish and make her own.

This collaboration is new. I’ve only shot with the lead singer so far and gathered material outside of the band, but we are enjoying the process.

I see the potential for this to grow into an overall creative direction role with the band.
